Abalone (Paua) schelp hanger. Deze schelp komt uit Nieuw-Zeeland. De hanger is ca. 3-5 cm lang. Dit zijn unieke hangers en kunnen dus afwijken van de foto.
Abalone wordt ook wel Paua Shelp genoemd (parelmoer). Abalone schelpen hebben unieke eigenschappen: de schelp is rond, met 2-3 spiralen. De laatste spiraal is uitgegroeid tot een grote oor-achtige vorm, die de naam ‘oor-schelp’ krijgt. De binnenkant van de schelp is glanzend, van zilverachtig wit naar groen-rood-blauw parelmoer.
