Agaat Grape / Chalcedoon Druif ruw nr.38 bestaat uit chalcedoon, een microkristallijne vorm van kwarts. De karakteristieke druifvorm ontstaat door een natuurlijke groeiwijze waarbij kleine bolvormige structuren zich laag voor laag ontwikkelen. Deze groeivorm wordt ook wel botryoïdaal genoemd.
De zachte kleuren en de bijzondere structuur maken ieder exemplaar uniek. Omdat de bolvormige kristalgroepen volledig natuurlijk zijn ontstaan, wordt dit mineraal wereldwijd gewaardeerd door verzamelaars van bijzondere mineralen en geologische curiositeiten.
